Purpose of the Post:
    • My client is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage and coordinate their national infrastructure programme across various Campuses of the Northern Region (Gauteng, Limpopo, Free State, Mpumalanga areas).
Key Performance Areas:
    • Ensure effective regional infrastructure programme implementation
    • Improve workplace health, safety and security
    • Foster strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders
    • Manage regional infrastructure budgets
 
Knowledge and Skills:
    • Excellent analytical, conceptual abilities and report-writing skills
    • Knowledge of the PFMA and National Treasury’s Infrastructure Development Management System (IDMS)
    • Knowledge of infrastructure procurement and associated processes
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of building materials/tools available in the built environment sector
    • An understanding of the relevant regulatory processes applicable to the Built Environment sector
    • A high level of project, programme, procurement, financial, and human resources management expertise
    • A valid driver’s licence with at least one-year practical driving experience and a willingness to travel
 
Experience and Qualifications:
    • National Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural), or equivalent qualification with NQF 7.
    • A postgraduate degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural) or equivalent degree at NQF 8 will be an added advantage.
    • Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
    • Registered as a Professional Construction Project Manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP)
    • Experience in working with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB)
    • Experience in construction project management of similar scaled projects
    • Experience in labour-intensive construction and managing expanded public works programmes
    • Experience in working with spreadsheets (MS Excel)
    • Must have 8 years’ experience in the relevant field,
    • of which 4 years should be in first line management position(s) managing and coordinating major infrastructural programme and projects.
