Purpose of the Job: To effectively manage the Corporate Services Division and contribute to achievement of Umgeni Water strategic objectives
Duties/Key Responsibilities: Strategy development o Strategic Human Resources Management o Management of ICT Infrastructure o Legal and Compliance o Property and Security Management
o Stakeholder Management o Financial and Risk Management.
Educational Qualifications and Experience: Post Graduate Qualification (NQF Level 8) in either of the following disciplines: Legal, Human Resources, Information Technology and Property Management. A Master's Degree will be an added advantage o Professional registration with an appropriate registration institution o A combined experience of not less than 7 years in senior management role (preferably in the public sector) o Experience in the application, implementation and management of the following legislations: Public administration, including legislations relating to Industrial Relations; Financial Management; Information and Security management in the Public Sector. Must have the ability to identify and control risks to the organization that fall within the realm of Corporate Services but not limited to:
Strategic Human Resources Management - Organizational Planning and Development, Employee Resourcing, Employment and Human Resources Administration, Reward Management, and Employee Relations. Lead the ongoing development of a professional and achievement focused workforce and culture.
Legal and Compliance - Provide the organisation with sound and effective legal advice. Represent the organisation in all cases and court proceedings. Identify and manage legal risks.
Stakeholder Management - Develop, lead and manage all communication of the organisation. Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Information Services - IS Strategy, IS Architecture and Planning, IS Governance, Business Systems, Knowledge Management, Geographic Information System (GIS). Ensuring the Corporation has adequate capacity in the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in terms of connectivity and ensures that it keeps apprised with new developments in this field.
Property and Security Management - maintain and safeguard of properties in compliance with statutory requirements and safety standards.
Reporting Level: Reports to the Chief Executive.
