Job Outline
Lead the conceptualisation and design of enterprise wide application integration architecture and provide enterprise application integration architecture guidance and services guided by the EA principles and policies.
o Understand and familiarise with the project's business requirements
o Understand and familiarise with the proposed conceptual solution business, data and application architecture domains
o Understand and familiarise with the solution architecture meta-model
o Understand and familiarise with the as-is application architecture
o Create a logical integration architecture for the proposed solutions.
o Assist in the creation of the Request for Information documents with regards to the buy solution options
o Create the physical integration architecture for the proposed solution
o Develop and maintain application integration architecture blueprint for the organisation.
o Responsible for developing strategy and roadmap for Integration Architecture in partnership with other ICT architecture domains.
o Plan, coordinate, architect, and supervise all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the business requirements of the organisation.
o Lead the integration activities focussing on lightweight integrations across the applications.
o Ensure that data transferred both internally & externally is secured.
o Supervise the testing of interoperability of applications modules for in-house developed, COTS and external party solutions as it deemed necessary.
o Evaluate existing interfaces and suggest best practices as we migrate to new technologies.
o Ability to design solutions, enabling micro-services architecture across the organisation.
o Relevant Postgraduate Degree in Computer science or equivalent.TOGAF certification is a requirement. Knowledge of other frameworks (e.g. Zachman) will be an advantage.
o Sound PC skills including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
o Experience in Enterprise Architecture tools like Casewise, Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect.
o At least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' experience in developing solution architectural designs
o At least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' experience and knowledge of solution architecture development, implementation and integration methodologies
o At least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' experience in inter programme ICT Architecture integration across the ICT systems landscapes and application portfolios.
o At least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' experience in defining SOA and Application architecture vision, strategy, principles, standards and policies
o Ability to recognise functional interdependencies, to assimilate and correlate disconnected procedures and process, and articulate their collective relevance to the organisation.
o Analyses system requirements and defines system architecture that will meet business needs, including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols.
o Solid technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Database architecture, Big Data, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Data Governance, No-SQL databases, Advanced Analytics, AI, Data Mining, ETL
o Provide thought leadership, innovation and best practice
o Work collaboratively with other EA team members (domain architects) on the projects to deliver the architecture artefacts and guidance provided from those teams into the programmes and projects
o Review architecture deliverables and artefacts
o Experience in the integration of cloud and on-premise architecture
